Soccer is the all-around sport of the world. The strength in numbers of fans and enthusiasts alike outweigh all others in competitive audiences. For newcomers to the field, it can be intimidating to follow along with the blur of streaking colors running across from one goal to another. In its earlier days, it was not known as “soccer or futbol”. The rules were a bit scarce as in medieval times a plethora of penalties were allowed. Actions did not have the same consequences as they do in the modern version of the game. It was common to see a no hold barred approach to secure the win.
